Funny how things work out…

A few years back I applied for the Journalism Fellowship programme at the Reuters Institute at Oxford University

I didn’t get selected… my project was to research with survivors who had shared their distressing stories with journalists and find out what helped and what harmed, when working with us. It was felt to be too ambitious and they were right.

Two years later my book, Trauma Reporting, was published. Filled with insight from survivors and also from journalists, including Louis Theroux and with good practice. Now I train journalists worldwide in trauma reporting

Today, I was invited to talk about my work and my book……. to this year’s Journalism Fellows at Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism

It was really lovely to do this. Thank you Caithlin Mercer for inviting me and to your great group of Fellows
