Seasoned Japanese journalists have been in touch to tell me they are working their way through my book, discussing how best to work with victims and survivors.
Many survivors who chose to speak to journalists share constructive insight in the book. It also offers insight around sensitive working from correspondents and journalists, including Louis Theroux.
The new Japanese Trauma Reporting Study Group is, they tell me, part of a research project at the University of Tokyo.
The book, which is also finding its way onto University reading lists here, is also the basis of the Trauma Reporting training I’m now running with journalists and media teams ( www.traumareporting.com )
I am truly honoured to hear all of this. The many survivors who’re involved in the book and training will be really pleased too.
